The steamroller of life

So, life has been steamrollering along recently. I can't believe it's September already. And then we're going to be travelling for most of October. And then it'll be November when we get back, and then it'll be Christmas already! and then it'll be January, and Public Holiday season again, and then June, and then next December before we know it.

I wish you could slow time down :p It's really sad though, of the events that have happened recently, the big one is Niall is leaving work :( He's one of the people that really made it fun, so I'll miss him when he's gone. On the plus side (for him), he's moving to London with Nithya, which is awesome! It seems to be the season for moving, with Mendel already gone. We're going to meet up while I'm over there to say hello :)

gmail

I'm trying to get a gmail account and it's proving c'est impossible! All the good names are already taken. I can report that "daphywaphy" is still available, though I'm not sure that I really want to take up the offer. I really should have taken a gmail account when it first came out. Yet another incident that proves my laziness.

I do wish I had more email buddies though. No point getting a new account if no one's going to send anything there...

www.apple.com.au

If you consider looking at hardware a guilty pleasure, you must be a geek, right?

I have to admit that looking at the apple website (and related products) evokes a bit of a guilty reaction. And I'm somewhat ashamed of myself because I don't even like looking at regular hardware, so why should apple stuff be any different? But their stuff is cool, and sleek, and so very pretty....

sigh.

All this is coming from the fact that Bunny bought a 12 inch iBook. She's my new personal hero, as I never worked up the courage to buy an apple computer, and she just went ahead and got one right off the bat! Maybe I can be a follower. :) Those PowerBooks have surely dropped in price recently....
