excitement!

lots of exciting, non-standard things going on at the moment:

Planning a trip to Japan. Yes, you read that correctly. A mere three weeks after arriving back from Europe, I have decided to apply for three weeks of leave in late February for a snowboarding holiday in Japan with the uni crowd! Believe me, I was the most relieved person in the world when the boss signed that leave form.

Further on work related matters, I finally got a digital line for my phone. Isn't that excitement? It only took them two years and four months to get around to it. The amusing thing was, they insisted I couldn't keep my old phone extension and transfer to a new digital line. So, for a brief period of around 24 hours, I was dc364. And then... the next day a bunch of us received an email saying we would be switched back to our old extensions. So now I'm dc247 again, with the added bonus of being on a digital line that I can actually use to transfer calls. And the ring is not piercingly loud. Hooray!

I got my hair cut yesterday. In a departure from the norm, I got it heavily layered (perhaps a little too many layers, but it was hard to convince the hairdresser that i didn't want that many) but it's still just past my shoulders in length. It looks awesome when its slightly curly; I'll have to buy some Product that induces curl in your hair - only $30 from your friendly neighbourhood Noddy's on King.

uh... what else? mostly the focus is on Japan. I need to start researching places, booking flights and snow accommodation, buying snowboard gear there (YAY!) and other stuff.
